The initial situation
Until now, planning was done in Excel on the basis of a very complex cost accounting system, which also formed the basis for legal accounting. Consolidation was also done manually without system support.
The goal was to create an integrated system in which planning, consolidation and reporting could be mapped.
Implementation of IBM Cognos Controller to map commercial and management consolidation
Conception of an integrated and driver-based P&L and balance sheet planning based on sales planning
Integration of a forecast to map the monthly fast close as an internal monthly close
Complete technical implementation of the business concept in IBM Planning Analytics and connection of the planning with the actuals from the consolidation with the IBM Cognos Controller
