By this we mean the successful launch of a product idea. The introduction of the product idea is becoming a critical success factor for German companies increasingly. On the one hand there is growing pressure to speed new ideas to succeed in the market place. On the other hand, the complexity and interconnection of products and production processes, which take on corporate and national borders is not considered. Challenges of modern innovation management are limited resources of developing the right ideas, putting these in the development process, then to prioritize these ideas according to defined criteria and eventually to guide through the process so that the product portfolio is competitive and profitable at any time.4C Approach
The 4C approach for effective innovation management and innovation controlling is based on the consistent evaluation of each innovation on the basis of effects on the market product portfolio and a comprehensive multi-project management of innovation projects in the Stage-Gate process. The starting point is an evaluation of mechanisms of the organization and reporting of innovation management. Based on this, a holistic top-down toolkit will be developed that helps the enterprise and can be supported by appropriate multi-project management tools and BI tools.
