4C FOOTPRINTS 2014

Prof. Dr. Matthias Sutter - Leading German experimental economist

About patience - The end of the homo oeconomicus

In 2014 year we were able to win Prof. Dr. Matthias Sutter as our keynote speaker for our 10th anniversary 4C FOOTPRINTS.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Sutter explained the importance of patience for professional success and why the economic conceptual model of the "homo economicus", which is entirely based on rational and utility maximizing decision making reaches its limits when patience is taken into consideration.

How decisive is patience in human decisions as far as the trade-off between an immediate short-term gain and deferred long-term success? The award-winning scientist also showed which factors significantly affect our patience and how we can handle our own impatience.

We are already looking forward to see you next year at our 4C FOOTPRINTS.
